Any JBoss guru can answer this question ?
it has become a bottle neck and i believe it is a tiny issue.

DashV,
If you have some time, could you please try your optimistic locking tests again
with 1.2.4 release? O/L it is still beta quality even in release 1.2.4, but
feedback would be great to help solidify it for 1.3.
The performance problem with cache loaders should have improved, and the
Thanks for your reply! Most appreciated, really...
I'll try this and then inform of any progress...

Hi All,
This subject has been raised in the past many times. I have gone through
almost all, but none could solve my problem. Also to mention that, those
discussions were on earlier versions of JBoss.
I am using JBoss v 4.0.2,.I have implemented form-based authentication,
in which the form
Thanks,
Now working.. Just have to figure out how to develop these portlets now...
Jason.

Hi, everybody. i am designing a self-adaptive scenario under jboss 3.2.4 which
can be stated as follows:
Initially, there is one server offering ticket-ordering services, as the number
of clients increases, the probe of our application detects the latency is
beyond the threshold, so software
Thanks, Your advice helped me.
This code should work after specification I think. The side effect is I can
compile an jar file with java which is not deployable in JBoss.
| public interface AddressLocalHome
|extends javax.ejb.EJBLocalHome
| {
|public static final String
There is a problem with those jars. If you look at your build path, you'll see
some of your jars have warnings in them. Each of those jars with warnings are
not pulling over to your build path. (you can see the yellow ! by the jars).
Those jars are:
hibernate3.jar
ejb3.jar
ejb3x.jar
I've had the exactly same result. This is a very tricky issue ... Is there
anybody at jboss group that could help ? The deployment process at jboss AS is
a nightmare...
Thanks.

I have changed the DefaultDS to be MySQL instead of Hypersonic. So the MySQL
database is used for message persistence and the state manager.
Everything works fine, just this I don't understand:
When I shutdown the database while JBossMQ is being used, I get the expected
errors and everything
I can't say I have anything resembling an answer, but I'd have to theoretically
ask the question:
Can you populate Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS in your environment properties
when you invoke the EJB?
You could have a different login module in your EJBs designed to accept
Kerberos
Complain to xdoclet as this is not a jboss issue.

I am building my first EJB3 app. The question is... should I work with
detached instances, and then re-attach with merge()?
Or should I just keep loading the objects as needed, supplying the ids via the
request.
SURVEY: Are you using detached instances? Why?

My observations were completely wrong, sorry for that.
I simulated the database unavailability by pulling the network cable of the
WinXP machine where JBoss was running. This does obviously not only make the
remote database unavailable, but also take down local networking, so the JMS
clients
I installed jboss under D:\jboss-4.0.3
First, in my hibernate.cfg.xml, I have not defined
hibernate.cache.provider_class, because I think the default cache provider is
ehcache.
I got followin error messages:

this is what the spec says though

This
I'm doing some tests and using Object[] loops instead of Array.getInstance
navigation is being much faster.
Unfortunately later I will have to write on array persister for each primitive
value. But that's okay. Then I realized regular ObjectOutputStream and
ObjectInputStream does the same

Dear All!
I'm trying to write a Session Bean in which one of the business methods is
giving as result a class from an external jar (external = not included in the
jboss lib). When I try to deploy it I get something like this:
**
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
The content of ehcache.xml is not right, it is the rootcause of second problem.
But I have not find a good place to put ehcache.xml, now, I put it into
ehcache-1.1.jar (It is not a good place at all), everything does work. :))

here... members in my case and I put this in the login-config ... but I don't
see how it can see it with this its still looking for a properties file
when I'm using a database ?

Hi,
I wonder if only I have problems with the Trailblaizers. somebody put much
energy in creating this cool TrailBlazers - and now they don't work- what a
pity.
I want to repeat the Trailblazer examples with JBossIDE 1.5 and JBoss AS 4.0.3
I installed JBoss AS 4.0.3 using the jar-installer -
Thanks for the reply
So can I say that JBoss clustering only support LB plus failover but not single
failover. If I need some failover deployment like EJB HA-JNDI failover(exclude
LB), I have to leverage some Hardward solution (Router IP Forward/NAT), we can
not archieve that feature within
Okay,
Now I've finally got the login.html file coming up in the app root with the
following in my web.xml I took a look at the jmx-console.war and how that
was setup and ...
