2.2.1RC1 using LDAP authorisation.
In login-config.xml I added a new application-policy using

1. Drop database. If using 'mysql', login as 'portal' and do this:
'drop database jbossportal;'

I suspect this may be due to the scheduler working in a fixed-period mode

registered the AlertCollectorMBean twice by accident using
MBeanServer.addNotificationListener(). I figured it was smart enough to

You shouldn't need the Remote interface if your classes operate in the same JVM.
Not sure if this will help, but I had the same problem as you
(java.lang.ClassCastException: $ProxyXXX) when I was trying to use a Stateless
Session Bean from within a second Stateless Session Bean.
Basically
As noted in some other threads, you cannot access conversation-scope components
from the RESTORE_VIEW phase. The conversation context is not active until after
the end of RESTORE_VIEW.

Well, I have new concepts to keep researching to now. I really didn't have in
mind the whole scope of swimlanes. Your suggestion was very clear. I wanted to
focus that aspect of our problem because the most of our complexity is related
to role assignment rather than the workflow itself
This stuff is all obsolete stuff that was working for 4.0.3SP1, but not for the
new upcoming release. I've already fixed all those things in Hibernate Tools
CVS, so just rebuild hibernate-tools.jar.

That's exactly what i need - a small set (couple of strings) of preferences per
user, so I was thinking that a Cookie store would be acceptable.

As long as the column has the unique constraint annotated and you call flush()
on the entity manager that should be all you need to force the exception in
your session bean class.
