Just figured it out thanks to a colleague.
Was running the "tomat" jboss config which does not include the
bean shell deployer. It works with the "default" config. Or I suppose
the bean shell deployer related files could be added to the "tomcat"

The funny one first. I'm working from the LdapLoginModule in the JBoss Official
Guide and I'm using com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory for the
InitialContextFactory. What's funny is that I cannot find the Sun ldap.jar file
anywhere in the JBoss directory tree and I cannot find the LdapCtxFactory c
OK. So you are not using nested bean but a Hibernate session instead. In this
case, I think Steve has just fixed this bug mentioned in EJBTHREE-612:

The problem is with the url-pattern.
According to the error message, clicking on the "submit" button requests a
resource named "/pnp/PnpAuth". But the url-pattern identifies a resource whose
name would be "/pnp/mmmi_pnp.jsp". Change your url-pattern to "/PnpAuth" (the

It's actually enough to touch the web.xml to "re-hot-deploy" your portlet app

We're using 2 nodes of JBoss 4.0.4.GA with an Apache mod_jk balancer. We've
also enabled the ClusteredSingleSignOn Valve to avoid the FORM challenge during

Is there a configuration change that I can make that would prevent the "work"

Hi All,
After starting my JBoss server through the Eclipse JBoss IDE and trying to
navigate to https://localhost/web-console/ I get the generic "Page cannot be
displayed" message from IE.
Conversely, when I start the same Jboss server from the DOS prompt by typing

That fixed it. I knew it would be something simple. I see now that I had
misunderstood the url-mapping tag and the servlet-mapping node generally. That
clarified things for me.
Thanks a ton!
