Thanks for the input. Given our network topology, I am trying to avoid
running a full IBGP mesh.
Also forgot to mention, OSPF Area 5 is a NSSA so that I will have control
over what is being advertised.

Network connections:
We have router A(M120, 10.4), B(MX240, 11.4) and C(M7i, 10.4) connected as a
triangle. Router A and B are in OSPF area 0 and also run IBGP between them.
Router C is connected to A and B via OSPF area 5.
Problem:
Router A has a lot of EBGP learned routes. These routes are
Hi list,
We need to run CWDM between a M7i router and a SSG 550 firewall. But we've
learned Juniper doesn't officially support coloured GBIC. Anyone had experience
running a third party coloured GBIC on these devices? Any issues? Thanks in
advance.

Thanks for all replied. It is a M120 with 9.5R1.8. It took about half hour
to copy a jinstall file between two REs.

I tried to copy(ftp) jinstall file to backup RE but for some reason the Mgmt
port on backup RE is not responsive. Then tried to copy the file from master RE
to backup RE but it takes for ever - more than half hour still not complete.
Just wondering what is the best way to copy the big file in th

config for you? If it doesn't, even if you have a backup config, it still
won't load properly, right? We've seen this on some non-juniper routers.
Thanks.

We are considering having dual connections to TWO ISPs on ONE router (M120),
what's the best way to connect?
- receive full routing table from both ISPs;
- receive customer routes and default from each ISP, make one default more
preferable than the other;
- others options?
In option two, if ther

the similar deal. This will only cause us and JTAC more grief.

Hi list,
We are looking at adding a compact flash on our M7i boxes. If we don't order
it from Juniper, could someone tell me which manufacture Juniper uses for
CF? What's the R/W speed of the card or does it even matter? Any
specification of the card is appreciated. Thanks.

Juniper default physical layer MTU 1514, family inet (IP) MTU 1500, family
MPLS 1488 (=1514-14-3X4) counted most tags possible (3).
To pass big IP packet (1460+20+20), make MPLS MTU 1500, therefore interface
physical MTU is set to 1500+3x4+14=1526. this also makes family inet
mtu=1526-14=1512.
