Insert a 3dB or 7dB attenuator pad for lab testing. In a pinch (no pun intended) you can take a fiber jumper and bend it tightly into a loop (like 1/4" diameter) to attenuate the signal, but I would use a disposable jumper for that. Use a twist tie or similar to hold it in the tight loop.

Aaron, I use them, yes, not in the lab, in the real world, the distance is 37km. 40Km transceiver use high power, much more than 10km transceivers, you have to attenuate to decrease power and fit the threshold. Use “show interface diagnostic optics et-0/0/x” to check the levels. The

Hi Aaron, Juniper does not list that modul as supported for your platform: https://pathfinder.juniper.net/hct/product/#prd=ACX5000 Maybe the power budget per port is not high enough for the 40km laser. And you should not connect them
