Sorry for the late response. I am currently in exams period for university
and between that and work I haven't had alot of time for play. My final
exam is tomorrow so I should be able to sit down over the weekend to try
the reverse bisect. While I'm not a new linux user this is new
"About the virtualbox-guest-dkms package, I'm not sure it is really
needed in 16.04 as xenial kernel already packs virtualbox's guest
modules(you can lsmod it even without installing the package)"

Sorry, but I haven't gotten around to trying the last kernel you posted.
In the meantime, Xenial had a new kernel released: 4.4.0-25-generic. In
this latest kernel, I can now dock without everything freezing - yay!

My bluetooth headset is connected fine but the sound keeps stuttering,
then the sound completely disappears! I noticed that it only happens
when wifi is enabled!
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS | Broadcom driver

kernel 3.13.X has an older version of the driver, which disregards
packets with vlan ids.
This driver work as expect in Kernel 4.4.X (Xenial) but not 3.13.X

The upstream patch won't apply cleanly on Xenial due to patches merged in 4.6.
I've reworked the patch for xenial and it's attached to this bug report.

xenial's linux-firmware package.
