Hi,
i'm set mm format , the distance betwen pin (2.54mm) are always 1000 ,
then you must scale to factor 0.00254 your drawing to use in mm .
Best regards

Instead of paying 4PCB's exorbitant prices, check out pcbcart.com. You don't
need to panelize (they handle that themselves); you just put in the PCB size
and quantity desired, and they give you prices for all the quantities around
that. If you're getting any decent quantity of boards made, the

You don't need programming skills for this. You just add the lenny-backports
repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list (or you can do it thr
Thank you for your answers.
Tell me if I'm wrong: The inches/mm button in export window only affect
holes dimensions
So, i've tried a new export (selecting inches for holes dimensions) and
open it selecting mils unit in Solidworks.
I still have a scaling issue with factor of 10. (what should be
KiCad-2009-02-16-final-WinXP_autoinstall
this works just fine on Windows 7 (average spec laptop) though screen drawing
is a bit slow, probably due to the graphics card in the laptop being a bit
average rather than any problem in Windows 7 itself.

KiCad exports the DXF with values in mils, but DXF's should be inches
or mm. Hence the scale is out by a factor of 1000. I have stumbled
across this in the past.

Brian.

Fill the component "Footprint" field with the name of desired module.

Hi!
I have been trying to convert drill files to G-code. Best converter I have
found so far is http://www.burger-web.com/ProductDescription/ETC/en_ETC.htm.en,
but I have a few issues with it. One is that I need to manually edit the drill
file and take out:

VER,1
FMAT,2
METRIC,TZ
TCST,OFF

Bonjour,
I'm using Kicad RC5, Ubuntu 9.10.
I've tried to export drill file in DXF format.
Whatever the choice of inches or millimeter in export window, i've got
the same issue:
When I try to open the .DXF file with Solidworks the scale is wrong. (by
a factor of 1000).
I don't know if it's a so
Edit the footprint filter property then use automatic association when
running cvtpcb. See section 12.5.4 of the eeschema documentation.

Not directly as in "make 10 copies of this..."
However it does support append board (PCBnew file menu)
You can use this to load another board into the current board.
The only gotcha is to make sure that you move your current board away
from the centre first, or the import can sometimes overlay th

How are nets merged and assigned? My problem is the following:
I have two nets - VCC and VDD - that are connected to a third net (3.3V).
VCC is connected through a copper zone under an IC.
It appears that the merged net (when creating a netlist) gets a random name

RC stands for Release Candidate (for the upcoming new version). For
the stable version, go to
http://kicad.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page. Near the top it
says "Get KiCad", and immediately below that are the download links for
the current stable version.
