I'm not sure I follow... I wasn't the one with the question?... My electrical system is complete, and actually to the letter of what you state. Perhaps a reread of the thread is in order? Thanks though :-) Matt Dave Dunwoodie wrote: >Hello Matt; > >I read all of the responses and thought

www.nvaero.com is the sole-source for new/original KR plans... Occasionally you'll see a set for sale from someone who thought they were going to build, and gave up... Or you might find a set included with a started-but-never-finished plane... But to start from scratch with new plans, NVAero is

OK- I have not ordered the plans yet, getting ready to next week. Everyone keeps throwing out names and such...so, WHO DO I get the plans from? Hmmm.? :) Thanks, -Barrett The plans NVAero sells originate from RR, and are the same plans that RR was selling in the nineties, I believe. The KR

I sent this early this morning, and never saw it on the list, so here it goes again. Jeff Scott has a theory that the ones that don't show up on the list are always "aliases", such as "KRnet" representing kr...@mylist.net , and this one is an example of that. Message below: Yes, the KR-1 plan

Hello Matt; I read all of the responses and thought I'd chime in as well. I think that everybody has you pointed in a good general direction, so perhaps I can help get to some specifics and recommendations. When I rewired both of my airplanes, the first thing to go was anything what wasn't te

Dan: It will depend on the shape of your axles, but this is what we have on the Aeronca Chief. A piece of tubing is sized to fit inside the axle, it has 2 holes to match the axle nut cotter pin and is held in place by it. The outer end has a large washer welded to it with a hole in the center

I have decided to ground the Black Bird again, due to the poor braking. Stopping is possible, but using brakes to turn is not, and this is what has made the decision for me. I don't know if it is the weight of the plane, or the way I have the Tracy O'Brian brakes installed. I did not have this pr

You can plate on fiberglass (and other non-metallic surfaces) with chemical conditioning that uses a palladium sensitizer, followed by electro less copper, electrolytic copper, nickel and then chrome. Yes, the KR-1 plans ARE abysmally short on details. And while the KR2 plans were a giant leap forward, they are still far short of the benchmark that companies like Van's make for the RVs. And like Craig said, that is why this list exists, and the many websites at www.krnet.org where folks hav

The KR-1 plans were the first that RR produced and have not been updated in many years, if ever. The 2S plans will be much better, but still very primitive when compared to something like an RV set of plans. However, many KR have been built using them, which speaks a lot about how simple it is to
