I'm sorry, I was mistaken. Instead of 10 to 10-1/2" from the firewall it was 9 to 9-1/2" from the firewall. You could just slide your index finger in between the starter and the firewall. I'm using the original Cont. O-200 rubber engine isolater mount bushings and washers. http://www.quickheads.
