The radiator is in the rear of the fuselage with an inlet in the belly like a P51. The weight and balance came out great running from 8 to 12 inches from the leading edge. I was just wondering if I could run something like 1" by 4" douglas fir, spruce or possibly plywood along the front and r

I agree with everyone else. As a truss engineer, the best solution for a member who's crack runs along the span is to replace it. Especially when you're at 10,000 feet and are experiencing turbulence over the sierra's from a thunderstorm nearby. Replace and have piece of mind. Fred Johnson Produc

You could use West Systems to repair the crack. I can guaranty that it won't fail at the repair if done right. Your only problem is to find out why it failed. It sounds like it was not built right in the first place or he put the holes to close to the edge or each other. Change it out and get rid o
