Paul, I've used the iFly 700 since Lowrance had problems with their updates. I
love it and wouldn't consider any thing else. I use it for both VFR & IFR
however I must admit that I'm an old steam gauge pilot and don't have a glass

I recently turned loose of my wallet and purchased a reconditioned
unit
I also bought one. I have a limited flight range I use it in but have
found it to be very handy for VFR use and easier to read the larger
screen than my hand held/dash top GPS car units. The sectional
background makes for a familiar and useful. My next worry with it will

Vertical Avionics got one of iFly's demo units to show my EAA chapter. As
James wrote, they are excellent units, with touch screens. Very intuitive
