It's not all water soluble - the Epson ink I use in my DX4800 (scanner, photocopyer, printer) isn't, or the ones I needed for my previous one which was a 5000 and something. Nor is the ink that the Epson little photograph printer uses. This is one of the reasons why I don't use the cheaper
