I am afraid that I am going to be grumpy and say that I do not think the Lace Digest is the place for the various lace organisations to start putting postings asking their members to renew their subscriptions. Ensuring that memberships are renewed is the concern of the individual lace

I may be wrong but I had a feeling that some while ago IOLI 'asked permission' and did anyone mind if they put the reminders onto Arachne, as it potentially can save them quite a lot of money in posted reminders, meaning that either they can keep memberships fees lower or have more money

Hi, I have just returned from the US and am getting slowly through my mail. I tried to add my name to the Buddy map but it wouldn't accept my input since I'm not on the map. I know Israel is s big as a head of a pin on the world map but it has more cities than Just Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Helene and everyone I snitched this from a beginning lacemaker's web page after googling for 'dowel and bead bobbin' - : You can also make some yourself. One simple way is to get pony beads and thin dowels that will fit snugly thorugh the centers of the beads. Cut the dowel into 4-5 inch

Re blocking the sender of messages - surely it would block the whole lace digest if you did this? It would work fine for those on chat who get individual messages I think, but I for one would not want to block the whole digest. Perhaps someone with more technological skill than me can clarify
