I have, in fact, had some lace imprinted on pottery. It was done
locally, and I too, wondered about sticky clay.
Turns out the lace, in this case tatting, did not come back gunked up.

Hello All! My friend in Edinboro, PA just emailed me that Campbell Pottery
will have a demo of lace imprinting on clay June 25 & 26. The artist is Trudi
Clark from NJ. They are also hosting a Lily Festival in July with a juried
exhibit of artists using any medium to represent the lily. Hmmm.

I too have had problems with Facebook in recent months, it somehow dived
automatically into my computer and fished out all the email adresses which
have ever passed by my inbox! Very embarassing! I read an article in the
Spanish press
I had thought of hearts, forgot about the patterns with little horseshoe
shapes in, which I have used for an edging once. I always consider the
blue (and normally used as a gimp) and was just interested in what other
things other lacemakers might bring into their designs.
