I got an email with a cry for help from Janette Hartman. Don't believe
it. It's a scam!

Dear Sue,
When I first started, I filled up my bobbins completely. And now after many
years I am still using up some of the threads. However, in the meantime,
they have become more fragile and a bit dirty. And All my seizes have mixed
together as well.
Now, I don't put too much on any more but
Thank you everyone for the great advise. I'll try some positions out and
take breaks but I do tend to verget about time especially when I'm starting
something new.

Dear lacers,
I need some advise on how to sit and where to make lace.
I keep having problems with my back and/or neck. I first sat in my settee
with pillows in my back. Now I'm on a chair.
What is the best place to sit? Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Happy lacemaking!

Hello Lace Lovers,
I have recently seen a piece designed by Michael Jourdan which represents
the Excalibur sword.
Can anyone please tell me where I could buy the pattern. I'd love to make
it.
Thanks!

Mechelen has a very nice lace collection as well. Unfortunately, the museum
is being refurbished. They are adding a large part to the museum
underground. As a result the lace can't be seen until 2012.
So you'll have to come back to Belgium.
Mechelen is well worth visiting as a town as well.

Dear Malvary,
I would suggest to visit Mechelen. It has a beautiful lace collection as
well. But the museum is currently closed for rebuilding. But if she wants
to see a beautiful town, suggest Mechelen!
But there is also a nice lace museum in Brussels:

Dear Friends,
Last night on the news they said a work group is trying to save the lace
centre in Brugge. They are going to ask the 50 richest Belgian people to
contribute about 1000 Euro and then get some money off the government to
keep the centre open.
So let's keep fingers crossed they can do
Dear fellow lace makers,
I have just joined this list but I like the information I am getting.
I hope one of you can help me. I live in a town called Mechelen (Malines)
in Belgium. In the 1600s the lace made in my town was considered as one of
the best in the then known world. The British poet
