How sad to learn that we have lost another great
Like Catherine I crossed paths with Aurelia at the college of lace. We shared a
table on a course - I believe it was with Pam Nottingham but the memory plays
tricks. Aurelia enjoyed her weekend so much and was devastated when it came to
an end. Weren't we all - great times!
The world has lost
This is sad news indeed this morning. Aurelia was one of those people whom
I have heard much about and would love to have known her in person.

last weekend I must think very intensively on Aurelia and I was afraid it could
end with the message we got.
I had the joy to stay with her in her house when I was with the Cheasapeak
lacers for the of the presentation Cone lace-collection. We had so much fun
together and I remember
Dear Aurelia's birthday was on my calendar every year - for remembrance.
It is possible that I knew her longer than most in the lace community. She
lived in New York City when we met. Her younger sister, Addie Busch, was
a moving force in the 1968 beginnings of the Manhattan Chapter of
Aurelia's son has shared the following obituary about his mother and
allowed me to share it with whomever is interested.

My mother, Aurelia Leffler Loveman, died on the night of August 20, after
a several-
monthsâ struggle with C. difficile colitis. She was 96.

I never met her, of course, but know the name, and know of her vast
knowledge of our craft.
She will be sadly missed.
