I've been doing my own version of floral torchon with Australian Wildflowers - wattle, gum leaves, boronia, sturt's desert pea - for some years. I've been using Buck's Techniques in Torchon lace to get the more flowing lines of bucks but in Torchon - using gimps and added pairs, and careful use of
