Hello All! Does anyone have any experience making lace with Cucirini Tre
Stelle Per Orli A Giorno No. 100 thread? I found some at an embellishment shop
yesterday bought a spool. Lovely colors quite fine. I couldn't find it in
Brenda's edition 5 but perhaps it's under a different name?
Tre Stelle is part of the brand name. I have a spool or two purchased from
a serger store.

I've not heard of it, let alone seen any!
It's labelled as No 100 but said to be 60 wt.
That would be because it's metric number (Nm) 100 and cotton count (CC)
CC=Nm/1.69
Google translates the Italian Cucirini Tre Stelle Per Orli A Giorno as
Cucirini Three Star Rims For A Day so I'm
It's quite lovely fine; the colors are zippy. The color I bought is sort of
a kiwi or Key lime green. I will report back when I've made something!
Perhaps it's an alternative for Madeira Cotona? It seems as fine or slightly

Thanks Bev! Looking at the uses on the Tristan site--they are suggesting
this thread for heirloom sewing so it sounds like a winner for lace since it's
