I use the Mouliné a lot for gimps or a highlight (either passive or weaver),
the colour choice is good, and the individual strands come away from the
full strand readily. It must be the wiriness of the metallic? Do make a
half-knot at the cut end to control fraying. A single strand behaves well on

I have used Madeira glissengloss sterling and loved it (it's the thread I
used for my metallic coasters on webshots) no breakages but some tedious
moments with unwinding at the bobbin latch stitch. It too is termed a
blending thread but used it as the only thread
Hello to One and All! For metallics I use Sulky sewing machine embroidery
thread or DMC mdtallic thread. Personally I prefer the Sulky better. Hugs,
