The hottest ever October day was recorded yesterday - in Mildura, in the far north west. It reached 40 Celcius! I am very glad I was not there yesterday!! We are going there this weekend, but I think it will be a bit cooler!! - I hope so!!! I hope to meet the lacemakers there, too, on Sunday.

Joy, if ever you decide to visit Australia, leave both your knives at home!! It's against the law to carry any knife in public here (well, at least in New South Wales!). If they were found at the airport, they'd be confiscated, or you could be arrested on the street. These laws were
