Strange how these things happen isn't it?? I'm a member of a
completely different group on the internet (miniatures) and forwarded
to them a link from Shirley in Oz which showed miniature lace. One of
the group contacted me to say she'd been looking for a lace teacher in
the same area

Just to let you all know that Agnes fell yesterday and broke her left
wrist (fortunately she is right-handed). She had it set late last
night and is back at the fracture clinic today to have the pot put
on. I'm sure she'll appreciate your best wishes. No lace-making for
her
And it will become even smaller in 2012 when we will be hosting the
international convention for the amateur radio group 2012 YL
International Meet and in 2014 when the international lace organisation
OIDFA conducts their convention and meets here in beautiful downunder

Sympathies to Agnes and hope she heals well and quickly. I broke a bone in
one foot and sprained the other one 8 weeks ago and am just beginning to
manage without the crutches (though still wearing this weird boot most of
the time) and haven't had chance to make any lace in that time and am

I hope you heal quickly and get back to your lace.
This reminded me that Alex Stillwell also broke her left wrist at the IOLI
convention in the first half hour of teaching last week. She was kept in
hospital overnight but was back teaching the next day. What a trouper.
