At this point I have upgraded two different Windows XP machines (a Dell
desktop and Compaq laptop) to LabVIEW 7.1 with full installation of all
drivers and did not have any problems. One computer was updated using the
CDs that came with the Developer Suite and the other was updated with the

This is a very good point you made. I know of an engineer here who has been
trying to install the new site licence LV 7.1 PDS on Windoze but he failed.
In the first run he was unable to reboot his machine after the installation
and at the second attempt LV 7.1 seems to behave very unstable.
I'm still using Labview v7.0 and haven't upgraded yet but I did received
two versions of the May 2004 Control Edition (Labview v7.1). The second
shipment had a letter inside stating to destroy the first kit and to
reinstall if I was already using the update. The letter only stated an

When the installer got to insert Driver Disc 2 my CD never turned off,
and the eject button or eject click wouldn't work!
