How can i implement a pptp tunnel along side of existing ppp dialup to
ISP? Running bearing with one dialup ppp0 and one internal nic eth1.
Have downloaded pptp.lrp and want to connect to Mikrotik router via
mschap or chap. Need Bering router to be client to tunnel and will be
connecting via
what does this mean, i did a telnet mail.server.com 25 twice and
tcp 6 67 SYN_SENT src=192.168.20.5 dst=208.57.74.68 sport=2375 dport=25

Whats the procedure for gettin ez-ipupdate to run automatically (daemon) from dhclient
to dialup ppp0? And why does my bering rc1 always start with 2 ppp's ppp0,ppp1?

i cannot telnet out via port 25.
Here is my shorewall output if it will help. Please tell what i am doing wrong.

Im running bering rc1 with dnscache. Installed per nilo site instructions, no
problems. But when i enter dnscache at prompt i get
dnscache: fatal: $IP not set. What could be causing this also cant see any logs
generated from dnscache to verify that it is even working.
i have bering rc1 with shorewall (firewall wide open)and i cant seem to telnet
mail.host.com 25. I can ping it and tracert it. Bering firewall is setup with dialup
connection to verizon(ppp0) and masq(eth0)to lan.
All computers behind the firewall get web and also can recieve mail (pop) but
nothing in logs indicates blocking nor does verizon. I used mail.host as and example.
