Hi!
I'd like to use leaf for network traffic monitoring. I found a VERY old
ntop.lrp package in the leaf packages section. Has someone
compiled a newer version of ntop for leaf or a similar package with
RMON functionality?

Hello List,
after using Bering 1.2 and Lince, stuffed in flashes on two Soekris
4801 boards for a year or so, I am playing with Bering uClibc 2.2.3.
I find dnsmasq handy for resolving the /etc/hosts for local
workstations. But I find it strange that dnsmasq will not resolve a
machine name with

I used 4.2.26 modules and the replacement kernel 4.2.26 for WRAP (found at
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/leaf/bin/bering-uclibc/packages/linux-2.4.26-
pcengines.upx?rev=1.1&view=log)
and it works perfectly.

Hi Bob,
I am running one Bering 1.2 and two Berings uClibc 2.2.3 on
Soekris 4801 and pcengines' WRAP platforms with some different
almost-noname flashes. I never had any problems, but the very first
time:

Hello list,
I would like to remotely power down my uClibc Bering on a mini-ITX
motherboard; that is: prepare the motherboard for a next wake-on-LAN. I read
that
it should be managed by APM support in the kernel. Is it available with
uClibc Bering? Module?

Hello list,
here's another one:
when setting up rsync package in uClibc Bering 3.1 I noticed that the file
/etc/rsync.conf does not get backed-up when saving the configuration in
lrcfg. After reboot it is gone. In Bering 2.x saving package /etc saved
everything in /etc.
rsync has been loaded
I used LEAF from version 2.x on an IDE flash adapter since my first
installation, using Eric's instructions. Thanks, Eric! To persuade my
first flash to boot was a long lasting pain for me, especially the boot
process, but it was worth every minute of it. Later, moving on to a real
solid state
Hello List!
First, thanks to developers for bringing up version 4.
Testing Bering-uClibc_4.0-beta2_i486_syslinux_ser.tar.gz on PCEngines
WRAP I noticed some strange behaviour which was annoying. Never before
since version 2 have I noticed such a behaviour although I am testing

Hi Bodo,
I tested the "escape sequence" problem with PuTTY terminal and it works
fine. $TERM is set to vt100. It works OK regardless of being set to
expect 8859-1, 8859-2 or UTF-8 from Bering. However I have not figured
why PuTTY behaves well with 4.0, while others I tried don't. All of
them, incl
Hello Team,
I am now able to reproduce my problems with yate / shorewall that I
raised 10 days ago. The changes I did to shorewall policy file or rules
file were not reflected if I restarted shorewall. It was the same result
when restarting in either web interface or CLI. The policy and the rules
Hello List,
this is not a request for help but rather expressing a need to say thank
you to all involved in this project.
I started with old Bering Lince in 2004 on a floppy, then moved it to
8MB flash for firewalling on Soekris net4801 with dansguardian/squid
content filtering, switched to uC
