The party involved did not spoof his IP so I checked it out and found

portsentry reported attackalerts for three separate IP's from Road Runner
- blocked them - and yet one of those IP's kept coming back as evident
from my logs. I sent three separate emails to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with no

I've had this same problem ever since I got my DSL hooked
up back in september... Every day I get many port scans,
IIS System32 commands sent to my webserver, Isapi overflows,
and a whole slew of other stuff Most of these attacks come
from other users from the same provider I use (directv
I'm sure most of the scans on my system are coming from my ISP(rogers
cable). Because of the shared line it makes sense for them to be looking
for high bandwidth services.
