I have a requirement to set up my leaf box to accept analog dialup
connections and then do dial back after authentication. I found an Intel
536EP based PCI modem - downloaded the drivers off the Intel site and
installed the 536epcore.o and 536ep.o files.
After a reboot I see the driv
I recently acquired Qwest DSL and qwest.net as my ISP. Qwest provided an
Intel PRO/DSL 2200 internal PCI modem with their service. The Intel web site
claims that this modem is compatible with most Windows OS. Is it possible to
find Linux-compatible drivers for this modem? In all my perusal of the

you should add the modules to the file /etc/modules
But before a reboot you should try an insmod 536epcore and insmod 536ep to test
if the modules fit to your kernel

If I were you I would look on auction sites for someone who has
discontinued their Qworst ADSL service and is selling their external
modem hardware. That gives you the best shot at getting something
compatible...

However, Efficient's drivers were

Hey guys how can I test if modem is configured and working right. I
installed USR Sporster 0431 internal and cant seem to get it to dial. I
have installed and configured all needed for ppp modem.
