And the logo will be in blue anyway. Does it really matter the word Red is
there?
Is this more important than Cellino saying he has had enough?

In the70's LU often played in red. Against Chelsea (circa 72) it was
entirely red. I remember Jackie Charlton 's weedy looking white knees. I
never noticed them in Revies all white
or, previously, in the blue and yellow
Since most televisions were black and white it was the beginning of the end
Agree. With the Everton job up for grabs, there may be a bit of musical
chairs afoot in the Prem (and also still possibly the Newcastle job coming
up, depending on Benitez). Can understand him wanting to keep his options
open for a few weeks on that basis.

Completely agree with Dave - the finest moment in English football history 50
years ago was achieved by a team in red beating a team in white. Cheers, Al

Not an awful prospect for once?

I miss them. Fond memories of my misspent youth leaving the pub after 3.00pm
closing (shows how old I am) and over the road to the bookies. Nothing like
that here in Yankland.

Well, I was brought up in Leeds area in the 70's and it seemed ingrained in
us to "dislike" anything connected to Man U, and the colour red. So (sad to
some) I have never owned anything red, or had a Sharp TV, I changed phone
provider when Vodascum sponsored them & now I won't buy Adidas.

Aha, so it has exercised other minds as well??
Personally, I'm against all these betting firms and the like, so if I was to
have any objections, it would be about the glut of ways to waste one's money!

I'm not sure there is a 'level of discontent' Shane, just a few comments.
I'd assumed Red Kite was just rhyming slang :-)

Agree with you re the word United, but aren't with you on the red thing - their
fanzine is Red Issue, there is the laughable Red Army (although I believe Mao
expressed his discontent!). It's not the end of the world, but I can understand
why people might be miffed.

I read in YP that the 32 Red logo is changing to blue on the shirts so as not
to upset the fans

I really hate / don't get this 'red is Manchester United' way of thinking. To
me it totally over inflates their importance to us and the world in generalRed
is a colour. Lots of things come in red. You see it in nature (flowers, fruit
etc) and on cars, clothes etc.
When I see 'red' I do not
Cellino has said he is fed up and wants to sell (again) so we might be lucky to
get anyone decent

It's a lot harder to get the Strachan type signing these days though. The
likes of Terry have earned more money than they will ever need, and so are
less motivated to drop down through divisions. Add to that the inevitable
highly lucrative offers from the US, China and Middle East. It's why Joey
Hmm, John Terry. I can see the argument, aside from he's slow, BUT he's a
hideous individual. Not really comparable with Vinnie, although maybe they're
more alike now!
Someone at this damned club needs to have a vision like Mad Dog did when
bringing Strachan and Vinnie in, and sell that to some
Yeah, why not go the whole hog and have Visit Manchester on the shirt??

Red? RED
;-)
On 13 May
If it weren't for the sad state of affairs at our beloved club, I would be
drooling at the chance of getting a season ticket for next season:
Aston Villa - Huge club, ex European champions, lovely ground to go to
plus Birmingham for a spicy derby
Newcastle - Huge club, great to laugh at as
Red? RED
;-)

We'll probably use this money to pay the fine from the previous sponsor ;-)
