I've found a bunch of old football papers and a Jimmy Hill Soccer Annual 1969
in my loft. Some papers date back to the 50s, most are from the 60s. They're
not in sequence, just odd ones from years and months, just over 20 in total.

Thanks to the use of two going spare STs I went on Saturday. It was a poor
game. Decided to stay in the Grove for an extra pint rather than hurry to ER,
and to be honest, we should have just stayed there!!
I know it was an end of season 'meaningless' game, but to a fan I'd say there

Thanks for posting that Dave. I really enjoyed (if enjoyed is the right
word?!) watching those. I was 9 in 75, so the cup final kind of went a bit
over my head, but relegation is a very stark memory.

I noticed we're up to 11th, follow our recent successes. So I thought that must
be a worth a bit of prize money, finishing 11th rather than 15th.

There was a very coherent piece on the Today programme on Radio Four this
morning about FIFA carrying out a feasibility study on widening goals posts and
