Hi playmates,
Good reading over the last few days, and yes, I am very much still here, but
definitely a super lurker on the digest these days.
Someone mentioned BDTR - a subject not to be dwelled on too much I think. A
well intentioned, but ultimately unsuccessful business venture. Just thank y
Kev,
This is the part of our team that I just can't fathom. The defending at
times is absolutely shambolic. Okay, we have well documented
deficiencies in the full back positions (although Struik works his
gonads off trying to fill in at left back), but we have two

Sorry to contradict Graham, but it was 7s 6d to get in the kop pre
decimalisation and then went up to 40p. Still robbing us though d-CUR.
And while I'm here - I know Alioski isn't a left back (and we need a
proper one), but leave the lad alone. He works his nads off for our
team what
Truly, truly awful. None of them seemed to give a flying f**k, and the
half time substitutions were a joke surely.
None of our managers since Grayson have shown an ounce of respect for
the FA Cup, and IMO that is an absolute disgrace.

Our early games record after going up is quite good I believe.
64/65 - 3 straight wins including a 4-2 Home defeat of the then
champions Liverpool!!
90/91 - 2 wins and a draw including opening day win at Everton.
Don't despair before a ball is kicked folks.
Kev - we won't be short
What a wonderful account from DRB, of the MOALM weekend - the boy could
certainly tell a tale. Still to this day, one of the best weekends of my life,
spoiled only by a game of football, where our beloved team was well and truly
mullered - many thanks for the tactical genius on that day Sgt Wil
I was obviously watching the same game as the TV commentators, because
I, just like them, thought Phillips was MOTM (albeit against limited
opposition) by a country mile.

Makes for interesting reading, but surely reality is somewhere between
the two viewpoints?

Mr Pilling, may I salute you for your synopsis of the Villa v WBA game,
but you missed an undeniably moment of sporting behaviour when Smith
(who I get to dislike more as each week passes) tried to get Gayle sent
off in the first half! Ref was truly awful - how the fuck was Gayle

Lest we forget playmates, but our beloved club (team) have lost their
last 7 cup finals, if we include the play-off defeats to Charlton,
Watford and Doncaster. Add in Sunderland, AC Milan (robbed), Bayern
(equally robbed), and Villa we have witnessed an incredibly unlucky 7.

Back in my boyhood and youth the FA Cup final was the biggest game of
the season for any player to play in - only one team played in the
European cup, so for the rest of the teams it was the biggest cup
competition in Christendom. A certain Mr Stiles who won a world cup and

We need to sign a new a new keeper NOW. This young man (he's not a

I was also on a rare visit to SOTG with Bradford LUSC on Tuesday evening, and
likewise was in the NW corner.
I had a great seat/superb view, but as you say it all felt pretty flat for some
reason. I chose to stay in the bar for the second half, where the atmosphere
was considerably better!!

And your (and many others in England) "Can't be doing with" is the

Forgive me for being simplistic folks, but haven't they just "stolen" the format

Greetings from Thailand where I am still enduring the piss takers a
little after midnight. Monk has just shown a total disrespect for the
FA Cup and Leeds fans everywhere, especially those who travelled to the
game. Do we need to throw the potential of a good cup run away just to
try

I believe I joined in late 92 or early 93. Oh what a season; just avoiding
relegation as Champions and becoming the first team not to win an away game all
season and avoid the drop!
Let's just say I had a less onerous job at that stage in my career and could

Mark,
You certainly wouldn't have enjoyed watching the Don's team in the mid/late 60s
then. "One nil to the Leeds" was invented a long time before "one nil to the
Arsenal":-)
It tends to put a different slant on things when you're challenging for
trophies though!

What plugins are you using?
SportsDevil is one, P2P Cast is another I ise and I've heard RoboCop is another
good one for live sport events...

The answer gentlemen, is Kodi (as long as you're an android device user), but
"we're not famous anymore", so you'll probably find that we don't have many
games streamed other than when we're on the TV anyway.

Hi folks (comes out of lurk mode),
I was actually at the game last night, courtesy of my employer, who sponsored
the game; the free drinks and the three course meal were all fine but that ends
the good points for the evening!
