Have you? No? How can you say they DON’T attract tourists.
And actually, people DO take surveys of visitors, and people DO come here
because of the royal family.
You DON’T pay for them to "swan around", they are a net income. Why do you
believe they think they're better than everyone else?
I just don't understand how we are taking it up the arse by having a
monarchy?
The one argument trotted out is that we have to pay for them, and that is
the reason it was pointed out they are a net income for us, so it would cost
more NOT to have them, unless we raze all the royal palaces and buil

Mark have you ever been to an election count?
Every vote
er count more votes or recount some ballot

the No vote highlighted this.

ople understand what they
are voting for. Either that or there should be a short test on policies on
the ballot form, and if someone failed the test their vote wouldn't count!

I also point to...Bush I leading to Bush II. Do you really think Dubya gained
the presidency based on his own talent?
So don't be too hard on the blue bloods.

The fact all libdems are for it should tell you more.
Here is my view on it all;
1. It is more complicated, therefore will be more expensive to administer.
Government already costs too much.
2. "It is more representative as the winner would need > 50% of the vote".
Total bollocks. Consider this
by people everywhere.
In all my years going to the footy pubs in Milwaukee I've NEVER, EVER met

You do yourself no favours Rich.
How many goals have other players scored when Becchio was NOT playing, vs
when he was?
You have not played against him and seem to be a bit "shallow" when
assessing his qualities - one of which has been pointed out MANY times to
you - that he makes himself a nuisa
I have high hopes for Lees - and I hope Kisnorbo gets back and is the same
player as before and we can get him contracted. With those 2 as regulars I
think the central defence would be good enough.
As for the rest of the squad - I think we are generally good enough
actually, we need a few "upgra
But then look at the career history of most of the squads in the
championship, loanees apart.
Most have "average" players.

Actually what we have a problem with is loan defenders coming in and doing
great, then as soon as they are signed up they start playing average.

The question for psychologists-on-the-list is, what is better - the
disappointment of missing the playoffs, or the devastation of losing in the
playoffs?
I still think I would rather have us miss out on the playoffs - gives a
clear message to Grayson and Bates that the team needs improvement, not
He could re-call Lees for the final game too, now Bury are promoted
