Well it was his idea to go lunging in needlessly and deprive us of his
majestic play so maybe we might have to play another way rather than another
square peg in a round hole.

I hate to break this to you, but shitty little Millwall are actually THE
form team in the division, especially away from home. They have drawn 3 and
won 3 of their last 6 aways..the wins coming at Derby, Swansea &
Bristol.
Plus, it is precisely the presence of a holding midfielder that
Agree, sometimes the obsession with a holding midfielder is frustrating. If
you’ve got legs in midfield then they can all get round the pitch and put the
tackles in. I think Philips has improved as a player but in certain games I
think he struggles against pace. Also I think his set pieces are
lead to the Premiership.

Do we really need a holding midfielder against Millwall at home? I would be
quite happy with Shackleton and Klich playing together.

Hi Dave,
Perhaps 'debacle' was a touch strong, but that last 15 minutes was the first
time I've see the players seem to lose their way.
Coupled with the Phillips sending off, and the lack of real signings it seemed
to be a real low point
Davis was tweeting out pictures of himself in a hospital bed with 'operation
went well' earlier in the week.
I think FPP issue is that although we get good crowds, the income of those
clubs with parachute payments dwarfs ours, so that means we cant spend at their
levels.
Although results
Oh, and I would stop pissing about and put Davies in as first choice left back
and Shackleton in the middle - we have to start building otherwise they’ll go
like Clarke (who I think is too lightweight). Plus, Ryan Edmondson has to be
given a chance!

I agree with Dave that the performance against QPR was pretty good - it’s the
damned finishing again. You have to wonder about the final ball into the area -
we have a few main variants - one is the long cross to the back post, whilst
the other is a hard fast ball in. I wonder how many forwards
Obviously I have no idea but Poveda seems to have a bit of Saiz about him that
he can get the ball turn and drive at people. This is something different that
opposing massed defences have to handle, kind of like Eze at QPR (can't we just
buy him?). Maybe this will open up spaces for others.
years not to appreciate what we have now, however
transient it may be and even if it doesn't lead to the Premiership.

After last night's results I feel a bit better, but
We have had a bad run. We are still second. Week of rest to regroup, hopefully
get a striker in. No need to panic. If we are dropped to 4th I would be worried

Richard mentioned some good stuff but add to that the FFP rules and it looks
