Meself, I'm 37 with a girl (6) and two boys (3 and 1). To be honest my first
love is GAA so my initial battle will be to get them supporting Donegal GAA
whilst living in Kilkenny. Given that both counties are at opposite ends of
Ireland and Donegal is a football county whilst Kilkenny is a

However for all those young fathers/mothers out there here's some
advice, to ensure my boys support the Mighty Whites, and not some
random good at the time PL team, I simply told them they could be
Leeds fans, or not a football fan at all, and if they didn't stick

My wife wanted our daughter (now 10) to be named 'Eleanor'. I agreed provided
we could shorten it to 'Ellie'. You should see the confusion on her face when
I tell her she was named after the Leeds mascot.
But his name's Lucas Daddy...

I'm 46 with two lads aged 19 and 14. Both ostensibly lifelong Leeds fans,
in the face of the droves of Prem-top bandwagon jumping kids at their Dublin
schools over the years (mostly Scum and Chelsea, of course). Both been to a

My lad is 14. I fought a battle to have him called Lucas or George (Graham)
and failed on both. Eventually he was called Sam and now can proudly wear
a number 11 shirt.
However he doesn't really care about football
