Took in the Charlton U23 v LUFC U23 game today.
Quite a tetchy game in very difficult windy conditions.
Huffer saved us a couple of times but much of the game was contested in
midfield.
The standout impression was of Carlos Corberan who was constantly shouting
instructions, largely in
I half watched first half (on my phone whilst talking to visitors) and things
were OK - could not really see the goal but we went in 1 up at half timeManaged
to watch the first 10 minutes or so of the second half properly and saw us
conceed 3 goals (one a pen) - we just fell apart, they walked t
So despite going down to 10 men and then Hull scoring from the penalty to make
it 3 2 to us, we went on and won 4 3- our 4th a lovely free kick by Pearce
which was well headed in by Kithcing (picture Pablo corner and Pontus header-
they got one back in injury time.

well the u23s are learning from the first team - 2 up after less than 2 minutes
then allow them back in to 2 2. First a pen, the second a straight forward long
ball down the centre and our defence went missingThen a new sensation with 5

Just watched most of the u23s game away at Ipswich and was impressed for the
most part as we won 3 2 in a good performanceSam Dalby got the first two and
Machuka the other and certainly at times we looked goodThe first goal was set
up by a good run by jack Clarke and then the ball moved on by De

I note that Clarke, Pearce and Shackleton are not involved for u23s (but
Edmondson is- as is Shaunessey) - so they may well all be in the squad for
Forest game ?
I thought Pearce did OK last night and Clarke has looked impressive in his 2
cameo appearances - I do note that Bielsa has said Clarke
Usually they put the games on the phone app and I waste my time watching it -
today sounds like an absolute cracker (at the moment it is 3 -3) and is behind
closed doors although leeds live site does say it is being filmed for
hightlight later (On LUTV?)
Bamford and Brown both started along wit

limping for a while - to be honest he has pretty much not touched it at all so
not sure how long he was struggling for. No idea if serious or not - Tyler

Watched most of u23s last night - they were very impressive again - won 4 0 .
Bogusz was MoM and scored a great goal but there were players all over the
pitch who I felt could make the step up.Jordan Stevens who I had almost given
up on earlier on (like Sam Dalby) was very good again and scored
Off to ER today (well what else is there to do on a Bank Holiday ?) to take
advantage of the free entry to watch the u23s in their Final (we don't get many
chances to watch LUFC in a final of any type and a decent chance of winning it
- unlike the first team ?)

Bad news though with lief Davis being taken off on a stretcher and subbed
Berardi, Douglas and Costa all starting and doing ok
Clarke also playing and has shown some signs of being back to the player we

He is not likely to start the next game and it is not till Sunday so I suppose
the reason is to get him match fit and get more game time (I did think he would
just do 45 but he is still on the pitch so looking like at least an hour for
him (maybe more with Brown going off ?)

Second half bit of a non event till last 10 mins, Harrison had a lovely shot
tipped over the top by the keeper, than minutes later Harrison broker through
and his first attempt was saved but the rebound fell straight to him and he put

have had all the ball, all the territory and blasted 3 or 4 chances over the

box, Brown flicked it back to Douglas who was fouled - definite pen , put away

A well worked goal ended with a great cross from Clarke that left the limping
(he went off straight aftterwards) Ryan Edmundson with a tap inClarke is
looking dangerous and hit the post with another exciting piece of play
Douglas has started, as has Roberts and Harrison, plus Baker and Shackleton
Jordan Stevens finished nicely, when he got on the end of a lovely through ball
