In the pictures I see the directional gear and in another one I can see the
duplex gear, and it looks to be some gears in the plastic bin under the
stand.(but I cant be sure?) For the price this one looks pretty good to
me.Someone is going to get a good deal and

As always, you make the right observations. I missed some of the details.
I made a mental note of the extra rail, but I did not see the holes instead
of the stair steps. An upgraded 400? Anyone interested should sort this
out.

I took another look, that longer piece of loose rail in the front of the
picture is probably the template mounting kit.

Gene, you probably would want to put Stepper motors on your machine,
however you would need to have controls and softare to manage your motors,
not to mention control software and a program to generate G-code. It is
more complicated than you would imagine.

Isn't there a mounting location on your machine already for a motor? There's a
lot of messages in the message base so I'll give you some quick highlights
(search terms Linear Drive Motor).
Legacy used a motor sold by Grainger 4Z131. They used a cheap speed controller
that is no longer
