Ray , I don't know if this will work for you, but how I reduce my photos is.Go
to the photo or file. Right click on the photo, then go to edit, when the photo
come up you can click on re-size. then resize and skew box pops up, reduce
photo by 50 or smalle

display it on my desk top
(not full screen about ½ the screens size)
then I take a snip of it with windows snipping tool and then save that to the
desktop and it is usually under 1 meg in size.
