The trick to getting a finer thread with a only having the standard gears would be a multiple start thread just like you do a 3 or 4 start spiral it would be a very fast 2 inch pitch but like 4 starts thus keeping the tread depth smaller. But you really need the .25 reduction gear set Witch I t
