Need LOM dogs and split nut

I sent an e-mail but later found this board. I have an older steel rail LOM and have recently begun to use it again. I need at least two of the 4 prong dogs that fit the headstock mad will also need a split nut in the future for the 5/8 acme. Any help will be appreciated since I see Legacy no long

I agree wholeheartedly. I try to incorporate spirals and rope moulding in my work but feel like it may be out-of-place in most instances. As an old "steel-rail" owner, I don't have access to cnc and such. I'd like to incorporate the mill into some "scuplted" furniture Sam Maloof inspired pieces etc

Curtis, I really haven't had a problem with the deflection in the rails, In the fluting etc, I "followed" the profile of the columns with a pilot bearing on sides. Even in turning down tapers, with router driven above by motor drive, I guess I used a light enough cut to prevent excessive load. Norm

Yes there is a single limit switch with contact buttons protruding from either side. Cant see how he mounted it but one could easily re-wire into two separate switches for opposing limits. I think the switch might be shown in one of the pics lying on bottom shelf. Sent from my Kindle Fire ___
