H... I don’t know. I think I’ve only got 7 or 8 of them.
(I’m a retired programmer that, much to my wife’s displeasure, never threw
anything away.)
All smartassness aside, I’m familiar with Mach 3 and it’s needs.
Thanks for checking though.

You will need a parallel printer port computer to run mach 3, is that something
you have? You can use a UC100 adapter to be able to use a USB, but make sure
you get a genuine one and not an imitation.

Tracy, I picked this up for my machines. I impoert the .STL files into v carve
and export with the appropriate post processor. Smaller ones will run , but
there is a size limitation between v carve desktop- $ 350 and v carve pro-
$700. Here is a link to the package, beware it’s an entire

So, to CNC or not to CNC, that is the question.
The answer is simple, do you have the money and the time to invest and what or
where are the benefits. If you are a business then that is what you look at.
Now if you are a hobbyist it is the same set of questions but there may well be

Ian,
Do you mind sharing where you got the "huge 300GB package of .STL files"
and what you paid for it?
Thanks,

Hi Tracy!... thanks for the reply... you are just the person to shed some
light on my question(s)… hopefully I will ask a question or two that you
can answer that does not put you in a position of answering a personal or
business question in a public forum, such as this group... vague,
I have the 1200 with the Performance CNC upgrade. I got it about 9 months
after I bought my first LOM (1500 EXL). I used my 1500 a lot before I got
the 1200 CNC. I love my 1200 CNC but it did have a pretty good learning
curve and I'm glad I had the experience I did with the 1500. It took me
and as the seller has stated in their eBay listing, the 1800 was never
used... only put through the motions when setting up the programs on the
computer... a business venture they were considering never materialized...
so this machine is virtually new, never used
