Mike.A simple way to make your own steady rest is to make the cross members first. then USING those mounted to the Legacy's rails, you can make your blocks, By using your tailstock as a reference point, mark the steady blocks so the center point of the tail stock is the middle of the V/ center

Does anyone already have the dimension for the hdpe blocks used on the factory thin stock support? I finally found a block of the material that I can make my own, but wanted to get the dimensions. Overall dimensions and then size/position of the v-notch should be all I need. I will attach it
