used so you can enter the following number - or in your case, so you
can check that you haven't used the name before.

There is no problem using Wordpad under normal circumstances
when the ANSI character set is used which is the default.
The problem ONLY arises when the UTF-8 character set is
deliberately chosen to produce the GEDCOM file, and that

Jeff, if you can bear to screen read, just create PDFs.
But I agree that at the beginning you need to have
paper copies if only of sections of reports to view
the differences caused by different selections. I find
that printing just the Index of a Descendant Chart,
Book or Narrative is adequate now
You'd find it quicker to use the Event clipboard to copy and paste.
That way, the source is taken as well so you don't then need to
source the copied event. (You do put a source don't you :-))

You only need one condition for this search so you just fill in the
Primary Condition boxes

You don't need to uninstall Wordpad. This issue will only cause you a
problem if you willingly choose to use the program Wordpad to open up
a GEDCOM file. The workaround is to open GEDCOMs in Notepad or a word
processor like MS Word or Wordperfect.

I don't know if this will help but I enter the residence information and
then go to the spouse (or whoever else has the same address) and then use the
repeat key - it repeats the last information that was entered as many times as
you want. But using this system you would add the addresses in

Legacy, and then I usually copy whatever into a WordPerfect file if I want
to save it.

Good point. The sentence creation routine needs to take into account both
the "Not Married" status and "Living" status so that the tense will read
correctly. The programmers should be able to fix this one if they are
reading these memos.

in the Contents if you choose the Contents option.
The nature of a Descendant Book report is across the
generations, so they can be separated.
