How does having them on the clipboard help six months later?
I'm not following you when you write:
But this doesn't matter as they are added for each use of the Master

Spliting doesn't mean extra typing -- in my opinion it means less since you
can just copy and change only what
That's exactly what I do, Ron. But if they're lumped and the distinguishing

Hi Listers,
IF I create a group in the search List and tag them, is there a way
of marking all of them as private or do i have to check each one
individually.
A very good question Mark, and one I notice hasn't been answered.

Hi Pat,
I haven't played with the Pedigree Report for some time.
It seems that if you want the ancestor colours, then you must apply
them to the starting person using Tools Apply Ancestor Colours
before you go to make your Pedigree Chart.
I don't recall it working this way in the past but
One thing that you have to be aware of when marking people private is that
only they are marked private so you can have their parents still visible
which obviously reveals their surname.

Not that I can see. Although you can search for all those marked
Private, but can't globally edit that feature. You can from the
search list choose Options Set Living and from there mark

Six months later you're bound to have over-written the Source Clipboard
many times and that entry you want to use again is long gone from the
clipboard. ;-)
However, if you want to pick up a source you've used before, go
In order to keep the details of Living people Private, you choose the

You don't need to mark them Private to suppress their details or their names.

I think I must have read county as country.
To see if a county contained in the Source Detail has been used, then use
Search and Replace. Select Citation-Details in the From where box; check
Anywhere in the field; click start and, obviously, do not replace if found.

Yes Wendy,
I have used the Source Clipboard in this way, and it is very useful. However,
is there a way to easly copy the source details back into the clipboard as
well? Say you have a page number for the source and some other information on
other tabs of an existing source detail. Can you
The Load and Save buttons on the source clipboard can be used to keep

To keep living folk's info off of reports, you would do this:
For reports:
* Pick a report
* Click on REPORT OPTIONS button
* Select the FORMAT tab

Yes, all the tabs are saved when you copy the detail source into
clipboard memory.
I learned this from a LUG user - Create a fictional unattached person

I suppose I would have known this had I bought those Legacy Training CDs, eh?

Pat,
It doesn't.
I no longer have the original email to which I replied but IIRC I was making
the point that whilst adding the details to the Source Detail would create
extra typing compared with including them in the Master Source this can be
minimised by using the Source Clipboard.

On my to Legacy To do list I have the sort order by
1. Repository
2. Category
3. Task name
But I can not see how to display the repository and category as columns in
