Elizabeth,
I agree entirely. I do not repeat the address in the Source as it is contained
in the Event to which the Source refers. Nor do I include the details of the
Source Page (in the UK this would be Folio No. etc) as I would not publish
these, instead I attach the page to the Source.

You are quite correct Cathy, in creating web pages the headings cannot be
changed. I'm afraid that when I answer general questions, as distinct from ones
asked about specific reports, I tend to think in terms of web page creation
rather than written reports.

Bob,
If you are creating the indentation using tabs then they will be dropped as
html does not support tabs. You need to replace them by spaces.

I search the IGI all the time through Legacy (I use the info as a clue).
Today I am trying to search and it says "waiting for imposed 33 sec Family
Search delay" It will count down the 33 seconds and then it just starts over
again, and again, and again. I have never had this happen before.

Michele,
I have many times! I know it is imposed by the Family Search Site and I think
it arises when their server is overloaded; ie. too many people are trying to
access the site, and/or when they are undergoing maintenance. The only thing
one can do is to wait and try it from time to time -
Ok, good! As long as it isn't a problem :)

Is there a way to choose which events appear in a report?
In my other program, I could print out a descendancy report that included all
the census events that I had recorded for all individuals. I might like this
option to get a good overview of several families and what work needed to be

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their Legacy Home tab inside of

Mine is not displaying any news and will not check for an update. I am

Bill,
It may just be that after all your changes the files etc have become a liitle
corrupted. Have you tried File>File Maintenance and run each of the options
available? If not may be worth a try.

Both the Legacy News and the Legacy Home Page links are working for me. Have
you looked at the Options on the Legacy Home Tab? You may also like to check

I was looking around on the Family view, and noticing the "tool tips"

already knew about, because of this group. (like clicking beside the

I may be teaching you how to "suck eggs", but the issue I often find if I
get zero results is that I have inadvertently left a second or third search
criteria operating - ie still ticked. Another possibility can be the use of
"and" instead of "or" for 2nd/3rd criteria

I saw emails a while back, where some users had created dummy records

I try not to clutter up my AKAs with

Yes, click on View, Master Lists, Event Definition, Edit Census (or
whatever you called it), then click on the box "Private Event" and
save, then Apply to all occurrences.
When you have finished printing, reverse the process to make Census no

Hope this is what you want.
