Did you stop changing your Legacy file at a certain date before you
upgraded to Legacy 6? If yes, then you can do a search for any
modified information after that date in a search. This may help you
find differences. I also use GenMatcher to check against Legacy and
gedcom files for differences
1. I have opened a new Legacy family file called CULLODEN one

2. I have imported a gedcom from BCEHP which contained all my
CULLODEN information collected from other people's gedcoms, my research
from overseas and in Australia and information given to me by others.

Hi Jane,
In my case, I tend to look through my family by way of the Pedigree tab. I
tend to click from one person to another, and when I want to see individuals
information I click again to get the individual's screen. That particular
screen does not show the marriage info.
It is amazing (and so
Interesting. While I don't use the pedigree view (very few family members would
come up under that view), I just checked that view, and if you scroll your
mouse over an individual, the marriage date/place do show. You can do this
through the Options Customize General Pop Up Boxes.

Thanks for the response Wendy. That is exactly what I want to do BUT it's
the family view window is not what I want to customize. I want to cutomize
the INDIVIDUAL window, which includes given and surnam, as well as other
relevant details, but it does NOT include marriage information. This is

I too, put in a request a while ago for the BDMs ages to be shown on the

They would not be step-children, they would be at most adopted. This can be indicated under

Dawn;
I believe you are misunderstanding what the Individual Window is meant to be
used for. It is exactly as stated, the information for an individual up until
he/she gets married, at which time they have a family window, as you are
calling it. The individual screen is for children and

Don't worry, I got the same message, as did probably everyone on the list.

I think marriage is a defining moment in a life and it makes sense that it
would be included in the individual screen. A workaround would be to add a
marriage event (in all your spare time). Events show in the individual

You're correct about the term, of course. Stepchild was the word used in
the original documents but in today's terminology they would probably be
foster children. (I don't think there was any actual adoption.) Changing

There's genealogy which is what Legacy does, and then there's made up

practically no relation to genealogy, just some-one's view of a

I found one about six months ago, but I can't remember its name. You could
mark relationships between people, and show whether they were friendly or
not. It looked really fun. Sorry I can't remember its name.
