Hi All,
I want to do a Legacy report for Death Dates in my Legacy Database.
The reason for this is so I can go to the library and look up obituaries.
Can someone please guide me?

If you want your entire database, use the Print Options in the Name
List. Customize the columns to show names and death dates, assuming
that's what you want. Click Customize and put surname in the first
column, given names in the second and death date in the third.

identify specific locations. Although manly concerned with finding the graves
of wo,en using their married name, it has some general application.
For those who enquired about a database for contacts using Ope
the standard descendant chart does not present the children in any rational
order. in legacy 6.0.0.190 i have the dates of birth on 10 children in the
first generation. however in chart the youngest is shown first and others
are mixed in order. is this going to be changed?

In the Beta release there was a place to change margins. It did not work but

headers.Also, if you double click on the little bars, it will make the
column just big enough to show the longest data in that column. I find that

update. Legacy 7 has not yet been released. And before we have yet again, a

You can only search for text in a pdf if the content is, in fact, text.
Just because something is in pdf doesn't mean it's searchable. It could
an image of text which is not searchable.

This is a known problem and I understand it's being worked on. Not only the

I feel your pain. Sadly legacy Charting is not designed to print Charts on
standard printers. Like all of the others they have concentrated their
efforts on reinventing the wheel pioneered by FTM, TMG and Roots Magic.

The new program LegacyChart has the ability to generate PDF, BMP, JPG,
PNG, TIFF, PSD images. Are there other types of images you would like
to see that you could use and import into your reports?

would include your ancestors, of course. The direct line option appears to
be not *your* direct line, but the direct line of the starting individual.
If you change the starting person, you will get a different result.

The unprintable margins on most printers are to allow for the space needed
for the paper handling mechanism of the printer. I have a Canon that can
do edge-to-edge printing, but it slows to about 5% of "normal" speed when
