I agree with Terri and Kirsten. Terri offered good examples of a sourced
book which was found on the internet (in the original question, it was
GoogleBooks). To Terri's citations, I would add an accessed date.
I continue to disagree with those who feel that over-sourcing is a bigger

I just have two questions for list members...
Of all the people you have shared your genealogy information how many have gone
thru the trouble to actually check your sources?
Do you check the sources of all information you recieve?
My feeling is that unless you are preparing to actually

I'm not sure if there may be an easier way but here is the way I do it for web

I agree that what I am interpreting as ultra-detailed sourcing is, indeed,
greatly overdone. However, I would also say that sources which appear
incomplete or inconsistent is an indication that the research is haphazard,
perhaps suspect. It is this latter research that I'm more likely to check.
I'm not sure what you mean about ultra detailed sourcing, but if you are the
slightest bit serious about your family history, you should give enough details
to find the source again. That way, if you later find conflicting information,
you'll know the source of the information you already have.
I have had Legacy 7.0 for only a few weeks. Why do I keep getting this
message? I don't think I have posted any messages?

I agree with this response. Intuitive and easy. The same thing works for
'Book, authored (reprint)'. The key is in considering the online copy of the
book as a 'reprint', which I think is valid.

I agree with your point about citation clutter. With the Legacy templates,
though, it appears the programmers have included fields to suit many
different possibilities and I think it's important for users to remember
that just because a certain field is there you don't *have* to use it
The accessed date shows up in the Event source citation (Detail) as
