This is driving me bananas! I am trying to place a photo
into the record for a Celia Singleton. I saved her photo
under the file Singleton and subfile Celia Adeline. I know
what directory it is in and what subfolders because I
checked more than once to be sure it's in the right place.

I just found out that the name of the file that comes up in
Legacy is SNNBU5~W, but the name of the file in my directory
is as I said before, Singleton.
If it were not in the Singleton directory on my computer I
would think maybe my fingers got mixed up and I typed the

Dear Dennis,
My husband got up and I consulted with him on the problem. I
was trying to solve the problem myself. I couldn't but he
did figure it out.
We have a Linux with Windows within it so I can use programs
like Legacy which doesn't have a Linux compatible program so
far, right?

I wondered why your original post used forward slashes in the path.
Anyway, when

Hi again Dennis,
My husband advises me the problem isn't spaces IN the file

Plus - the scenario - a man has a child with a woman and
they never married. This was indicated in the marriage
information. However the descendant chart names her as a
spouse. Can this be changed somehow to put it nicely, but
not as spouse?

Joyce,
In the marriage window, did you place a check mark in the box next to
the words: This couple did not marry.
By checking that box, it should change the verbiage from husband and
wife to male and female.

Helen,
No we don't. Legacy will run on Linux with Win4Lin, VMWare or Sun's Virtual

Thanks for using Legacy.

Under Windows XP, I have all my certificates, census and pictures used by

I am interested in the Legacy Cruise to the Mediterranean. I would
appreciate hearing from people who have previously been on a Legacy Cruise.
What they thought of it? How was the travel agency that handles the

Scott,
Vista probably put them in the location for User Documents. They will
be either under owner or Scott, or under public. You will need to
move them where you want them in your directory and then let Legacy
search for them. Once Legacy knows where you have them stored there

Just WONDERFUL all around. The travel agency went above and beyond
the call of duty. I had a questionable charge on a hotel bill, and
they resolved faster than I could on my own.
The lectures were presented in a logical format; I was concerned
about being able to take notes, but you know
My husband and I have been on two Legacy Cruises: The Western Caribbean and
