The other possibility - if you don't have two sets of parents - is that you
have entered your parents, but not linked them to yourself. In this case,
click on the empty box in your father's spot (above your name) and then
choose Link to existing person - locate your father in the list that pops up
Bill,
Check to see at your own family view (where your name is showing) if
you show two sets of parents for yourself. If so, click on the icon
which shows two people with white hair, and see the two sets of
parents. If you do show two sets, one set is probably blank which
you can delete.
Bill,
That is what back-ups are for File>Restore Family file.
If, however, you haven't backed up then right click on your name select
Add>Parents>Link to existing parents and relink them.

Brian,
I had indeed changed the FGS language to French a couple of weeks ago. Guess
the problem manifested itself when I switched back to English (US).
Thanks for checking this out.

Ron,
It appears you are right IF you have set the program language option to
English (UK), i.e., "English English." However, try changing the language
setting on the report screen to English (US). For me at least, this then
causes "cal" to be displayed as "Ber." In other words, if the progra

Mike,
As discussed many times before on the list, Legacy must be installed on the
hard drive of the computer you're using to run the program.
I would *never* trust a USB drive for valuable or sensitive personal data.
Thanks for using Legacy.
