Kirsten,
I don't know which way this is likely to go, although I would hope that at some
stage Legacy will be able to do something about it.
I rarely use the comments section (which is why I asked you to try it!) and to
be honest I am not really bothered whether my notes actually appear on
The previos version of Legacy (v6) had an event builder that you could
custom design your wording for various events such as for God Parents. Is
that feature available in the Deluxe version of v7, as I am only using the
standard version currently.

Yes!

Except for the ability to have multiple sources be saved and entered with one
click on the appropriate button. That one was deleted, making it a real pain
to enter the same multiple sources to several people.

While working on these duplicate pictures . . . I've still found some, BUT I
think they are for different reasons. The one place I've neglected is in

Has anyone tried running Legacy 7.0.0.90 using Windows 7 RC1 under

I've mostly been using Legacy on a laptop running Windows XP. Most
everything else I do is on a Mac. I'm running a trial version of
VMWare Fusion and Windows 7 Release Candidate. For the most part,

Dear Nina,
This is Outlook 2007 ;
To send all your emails in plain text ; On the menu bar at the top go to,

Tom,
The two problems you are having with the forms and interview files may not be
due to using Windows 7 nor running it on a Mac.
They have arisen on XP and Vista systems as well. Unfortunately the problems
seem to arise on a random basis, or at least they cannot be reproduced
consistently
Thanks Ron,
It's not that I use those two features very often, just thought it was
curious that they still work under XP on my Windows laptop but not in
my virtual installation under WIndows7, under Mac OS Leopard.
I even tried running Legacy in the virtual environment under XP SP2 -
still didn't
I am just returning to Legacy from a brief trip to Mac's Reunion. So I
had to check out your problem areas.
I am running Win XP SP2 on an aluminum iMac with 4 gig ram, using
Fusion 2. I had no problems bringing up either the questionnaire nor
printing US census forms.

Nina, have you checked your multimedia paths under Customize/Locations?

Go to all those extra locations ( Desktop, C drive, R drive, Network

Thanks Laura,
I've already decided that if I stay with running Legacy on my Mac,
I'll have to upgrade mine 2 Gigs to 4. It is a bit flaky at times,
and it doesn't help that I'm used to XP, but it definitely is better
than working between two devices...

I'm not sure if this is a problem or just something that Legacy will not do,

I tried working on 2 devices, and was glad when my hubby's computer

I've really done it now!~!! I deleted all the paths in Legacy/Pictures, but
I got most of them back from my Desktop folder. At least I don't have

different folders. Now I have my work cut out!!! Next I will try to find
Hi..I am needing assistance on how best to download my Legacy Program to my new
computer. Can I download the program from the website and put in my key as i
have the Deluxe version or is it best to burn the file to a CD and then copy to
my new computer. I know this has been addressed before,
I didn't say to delete all your picture paths. I said to delete the
ones you're not using, assuming that would be everything except the
Legacy/Pictures folder, since those are the ones you renamed correctly,
apparently. Then make a backup or several backups of that folder.

It is very east to just download a fresh program and put in your number,
then make sure you are updated and then import file from your old puter.
Good Luck and enjoy!!

I think I'm starting from scratch, but I'm not sure how this is happening.
I was able to get some pictures ATTACHED via the Picture Center, and some
from the ?SCRAPBOOK. Not sure which??? AND some are duplicated, and some
are not, and I'm not sure which way is right. At this point, I can go any
Thanks Michael...I haven't worked with my files in a long time and am looking

If I have more questions I'll ask...thanks !

Nina, choose ONE location for the pictures you want linked to Legacy. I
don't know how your situation can be so confused except that you have or
had pictures linked from all over the place, and probably duplicated by
linking to them from more than one place. Make one copy, name them the
way
Better for what? The Picture Center is the place to use for linking
your pictures most efficiently. In the Picture Center, browse to the
location where you put your pictures and then go through the list one by
one linking them to the appropriate person in the left column. If you
have all
I think I've proved that for myself. Thanks. Now for the next question:
Do the pictures appear in the book in the order they were put in from the
picture center? That's what it seem like to me, at this time. I sure
appreciate all the help from everyone.
