Your choice of terminology has led to some confusion.
From what you describe, it appears you have not 'run' Legacy from a flash
drive. Data, pictures, sounds, video, et cetera files do not 'run'.
Legacy.exe 'runs', permitting you to access data etc residing on a flash

Legacy already has a facility for the export of gedcoms that can be uploaded
to WorldConnect. However, the gedcom spec, which is beyond Legacy's control,
concerns itself only with data, not images.

I could not agree more hat we should ask OURSELVES this question, not
everyone on the list. Everyone can RECORD WHAT THEY WANT (within the
capabilities of Legacy) be it genealogy, family history or bits and pieces
of information.
And, by the way, your message was sent in .html

you install the program on the
thumb drive, that won't happen. Mojopac enables Legacy to have access to
the necessary Windows system files on the hard drive of the host computer.

I agree. And Norton/Symantec products are widely available for free (after
rebates, etc). Just watch your Sunday newspaper (at least, here in the
States.)

I have a Dell OEM version of WinXP Home. The installation CD provides a
repair option and I have used it successfully with no problem. However, I
second the suggestion re external backups. I image my hard drives to an
external USB drive. I only connect it to my PC when imaging.

, let me know.
Don't forget that the data file you create or update running Legacy on your
thumb drive exists only on your thumb drive. You have to copy it over to
your PC if you want the data there.
Finally, for the record, I am running Legacy Deluxe v6.0.0.118 on a thumb
drive.

Also, I notice that some flash drives seem faster than others. My SanDisk

Security problems with HTML -
Outlook Express uses Microsoft Internet Explorer to display HTML messages in
Outlook Express. Consequently, when one is viewing an HTML message, one is
exposed to all the security issues present in IE. Some ne'er-do-well can
exploit this to his/her advantage.
