While this does not have to do with Legacy, it is important to trace
the county progression for research purposes. If they were in abc
county in 1850, then you find
them in efg county in 1860, you and fellow researchers might think
they moved. But
they did not. It can either be a new county

Assuming you have deluxe, go into timeline, add a few
different lines regarding the name changes for your
area. I have added a couple hundred, and haven't even
finish with some states, let alone the world.
If you don't have deluxe, here is a good reason.

1690's to early 1700's.

This is, actually, MOST helpful! I'm not good with
historical geography! It amazes me how the geography
itself effects one's family history!
I will most certainly use this info to get it all
correct!

changed in mid 1800's it was known as Salop. I was thinking (only beginner
user) if it would be possible to document that place name change on a
